The client approached us with a requirement to develop a custom TASC app on the Android platform. In other words, the client wanted a banking app for all collector agents, account holders, and the bank. The core purpose of this Android app was to minimize the tedious paperwork and to automate/ enhance interactions amongst agents, elite donors (Charitable Account Holders) and the bank itself. The aim was to establish optimum user experience and reliability through this mobile app.
To deploy a reliable digitized banking solution & automate the conventional process via a custom Android app.
In the midst of a mobile-driven culture, the client wanted to have an all-in-one banking solution for all the users of TASC (Trust, Association, Society and Club) banking operations. A complete revamp in the conventional method was needed where the bank deployed offline modes (Cheque/ DD/ Cash) for donations. The client thought that time was right to have a robust and secure mobile app enhancing overall user experience and stay ahead in the competition. The core features of the app were focused on collecting and tracking donations from the bank’s elite institutional/ charitable account holders.
After a strategic consultation with the client and underlying the project requirements, we designed and presented an illustrative roadmap that our client approved. We approached the development process by segmenting the project into multiple phases. Our Android development team carried out a feasibility test where they came up with detailed development requirements. This was performed to deploy efficient methodology to minimize Android app development cost and time. This native Android app was successfully built-in Android Studio using Java.
A dedicated team of 20 members including project manager, tech leads, UI/UX designers, Android developers, quality analysts collaborated with Kotak Mahindra Bank to deliver a robust TASC app in an agile working methodology.
The successful development and deployment of the TASC application have given Kotak Mahindra a competitive edge in the private sector of the banking industry in India. This digital banking solution helped specific communities to donate and track money virtually, instead of going physically to make offline donations. It has also enabled banks to get real-time donation updates from agents. The application has an appealing design and functionality making it reliable in the financial arena.
